Good news: I had a week off.

Bad news: I go back tomorrow.

I'm experiencing a strange feeling of dread.  You know, the kind of feeling you get when you KNOW something's going to go balls up, just not sure what particular manner of idiocy you may face.

I mean, I just had an entire week where no one called in a panic, no emailed alerts, not one peep.  Problem is, I'm more than cynical enough not to take this at face value.  Call it a character flaw, or the fruits of bitter, painful experience - your choice.

I await my fate...

I also just had a week off. I know exactly how you feel. God knows what kinds of disasters await me... The fact that I haven't gotten any phone calls from work over the past week somehow makes me even more worried.

This could also be made better OR worse by the fact that seemingly half the Western Hemisphere had this very same week off. The good part is if everyone took it easy, the bad part is if some go-getter decided to make some noise, and you're going back to a hellhole.

If anything, I think honestly it won't be as bad as you think.

I feel your pain - I've worked a grand total of 1 day in the last two and a half weeks due to a mix of personal time off, sick leave, and the holiday. Tomorrow, I start back for the first full week in three weeks. Not that I'm nervous about the hornet nest I'm walking into.
