what operating system are you running?
Nov. 23rd, 2003 03:37 pmI know I posted about this before.. I couldn't figure out the easy way to find out what OS people were using.
I gave up, and now just ask them straight up, What operating system are you running?
It makes me think of this community and I thouroughly enjoy the excellent answers people give me.
For example, the call that I am on right now.
What operating system are you on?
>Americans Onlines.
*stifles laugh* OK, what operating system is your computer running?
>yes, they sent me a free trial.
What version of windows are you using?
>home
Alright you're on Windows XP Home Edition?
>no, emachines home windows
alsk;djfjkl;asdf
That's all.
Also.. why do customers fight with us about things that we can't change?
Example.. the man I spoke with a little while ago got mad at me because 'just because my phone got shut off doesnt mean my dsl shouldnt work!'
Sir, the dsl is attached to the phone line. When they take your phone down they take the dsl with it. Want it back? Pay your bill. Thanks for calling.
