1) The caller starts off with "Well... the computer was kind of... struck by lightening."

2) The caller starts off with "Yeah... I ran over my scale... on accident."

3) Someone wants to know how to ship a 50 lb box of "herbs and spices... yeah maaaaaan" to a Middle Eastern Country.

4) A customer's toddler can point out an error to her before she can see it herself.  "Mommy! That's in yellow!"

... and I still have 5 more hours to go.

Sure is. At least I got to take 5 minutes off the phones to let our International Investigations Department know about it though. I'm sure customs will be going through *that* box looking for 'herbs'.

Heh, I much prefer dealing with my 5-year-old niece with her computer, than my BIL. I can handle the questions a 5-year-old asks, it drives me bats when her dad asks me the same thing (for the 90th time...in 2 hours...because he doesn't bother to LISTEN TO THE ANSWER!!!). My niece actually asks because she wants to know! And she's better at following instructions too.

Kids are also great about being willing to jump up and grab a tool from across the room for you. They're just stoked as hell to be helping out.

I had a user that had one that was struck by lightening. So they replaced the laptop.

A year later, he said it was struck again. This time, I had it sent directly to me. I walked into the Director of IT's office, told him this was the second time, and then opened the box in front of him.

Surprise, no lightning strike. It did look like someone had dropped it down the stairs though.

The guy got fired that same day. How did I know? Because I was told to do a random reset of all his passwords. We did that when someone got fired.
