You've gotta love the auto-morph utility so many end users apply to your instructions - apparently before they even open the email to read them.

Totally a common problem. I yoosta work in Marketing, and people would send stuff to print houses, and the techs at the print houses would say "we need the Illustrator EPS for this logo" and the user would ask me for it, and I'd send them the EPS and a JPEG and/or a PDF of the EPS so they could look at it and verify. Along with an explanation "you won't be able to open this EPS, but your print provider will know what to do with it." ***INVARIABLY*** I'd get back "I cannot open the EPS." GHYAAHHAHRHRYYGHGHHHHBHHHHBHHBHH!!!!!1

I think people deliberately don't read emails from IT staff. It's like they just guess what we want, or presume it doesn't have anything to do with them. We upgraded our spam filter a while ago and an email went out saying, "please do not send us any spam, but DO send us any genuine messages that have been tagged as spam, so that we can stop the system from trapping them in future." Ten minutes later, UberLuser forwarded us THREE HUNDRED spam emails. One after the other. After watching them come in for about two minutes, I eventually rang the woman up. Her response? "Oh yeah, I didn't read the whole email, I just presumed this would help :-)" YOU MUST DIE, THX.
