Luserbitch, in a cheery one, oblivious to the fact that she sucks:

"You know, *crunching chips* in ten years, *crunching chips* your jobs are going to be eliminated. *crunching chips* Kids today already know this stuff!"

DIE.

The categorical answer to that is:

I don't get paid to fix stuff. I get paid to talk to morons. And tehre's more born every minute.

"Because I didn't grow up with this, and am too old to learn."

You know, like she didn't grow up to learn manners, and is now too old to learn them.

I, for one, would be overjoyed if my job became redundant. However, I have far too much trust in the power of human stupidity to believe it possible. There will always be people who think they're too important to learn how computers work, or who "don't know computers" or similar.

I'm not saying that the job won't disappear - far too many companies are looking at their balance sheets and saying "IT is too expensive to keep paying for" for the days of the helldesk to be anything other than numbered. But the need for the job will still be there, and no matter what position I hold at that point, I will still be the one people come to when their computer is playing up.

*spoken loudly, as to be heard above the crunching*

"Yes, ma'am, they do. Fortunately, though, there will still be people in the workforce and at home that aren't clever enough to figure it out on their own. You know, people like you. ENJOYING THOSE PRINGLES, YOU INCONSIDERATE WHORE?!?!."

"Well if you can't figure out the solution to this simply problem, you probably have a very easy job. The kind robots will be doing soon."
