That if I ask another customer the simple question "What Macintosh OS are you running?" and get the answer "Imac" I am going to throttle someone.

Imac is the model. You either have OS 8, 9 or X. Period. It isn't that difficult a question. I'm sick of having to ask people what colour the apple in the corner of their screen is. If you buy a bloody mac then you can at least know that the operating system isn't 'Imac'

That's at least one up from teh MS Uses who say their OS is Office. And can't even name the Office version.

Oh, I get that on the rare times I take windows calls now. Same deal. Same idiots in a lot of cases.

So by that logic, I'm running Powerbook G4 15" on my laptop and my desktop is running Office '97. (OS-X Jaguar on the Laptop and Win 98 SE on the desktop)
