WTF is up with people? My Team Lead just got turned down from a fairly nice promotion. He is bummed out and that is COMPLETELY understandable. But my other two coworkers don't understand why he is upset, more or less, why he is in a bummed mood. One of them is young racer type who only cares about his car, and the other is an unhappily-married middle aged gamer who doesn't take much of anything seriously or to heart. I have been working with my Team Lead for a year now. We have hung out outside of work and he is a really sweet, really awesome guy. We are both techies, ya know? At the end of our long shift we both go home and work on our home systems. He recently got turned down for a Sys Admin position and now he got turned down again. I COMPLETELY understand how he is acting and I am okay with it. But for my other two coworkers to be bitching and complaining and saying that "it isn't right", that's just totally not cool. I dunno. Am I alone in thinking this way? If he just wants to be mad, let him be mad. He has EVERY right to.

This person sounded like it was an effort for him to talk to tech support.

He was a low talker and kept blaming the company for his own stupidity.

He was one of our freaky callers from CA. )

Monday morning should be interesting. We are FINALLY implementing a password policy and come Monday morning, everyone will have to change their passwords for the first time EVER. *Sigh*

It started on Friday...
User: "I logged out of Windows and tried to change my password but I couldn't find "Change Password" when I hit control alt delete."
Me: "You need to be logged into Windows to do this. Log back in and follow my directions."
User: "But it didn't work when I hit control alt delete. I didn't see that option."
Me: "Like I mentioned, you need to be logged into the network to change your password. Log back in and hit control alt delete, then click "Change Password."
User: "Ok, I'll try it again but it didn't work this time."
Me: *Shoots self*

This will really be interesting...really, really, interesting. 80 or so users, one of me. I can't wait.
